Pistol Fundamentals is designed for new handgun shooters as well as experienced shooters who want to reinforce the core skills that support safe, consistent, and confident pistol shooting.
Participants receive hands-on instruction and work through structured live-fire exercises focused on firearm management, marksmanship, loading and unloading, malfunction clearing, and foundational movement.
The goal is to help each shooter develop safe habits, repeatable technique, and a strong foundation for continued training.

Experience Level
Beginner to foundational
No prior handgun training is required. Experienced shooters are also welcome if they want to reinforce or refine their fundamentals.
What to Bring
- Pistol
- Minimum of 2 magazines
- Minimum of 200 rounds of ammunition — no steel-core ammunition
- Eye and hearing protection
- IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit)
- Brimmed cap
- Water and snacks
- Range-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes
- Clothing appropriate for expected weather conditions
- Firearm cleaning kit — recommended
Eye and hearing protection rentals are available.
Refund & Cancellation Policy
- No refund will be issued if a participant is removed from training because of a safety violation.
- No-call/no-show registrations are non-refundable.
- 30 days or more before the course: 100% refund, less transaction fees.
- Less than 30 days before the course: A class credit will be issued.
- Class credits may be applied toward a course of equal or lesser value.
- Class credits are valid for one year from the original course date.
